Today, (May 11) one of the senior PIJ figures, Sameh al-Mamluk, 34, was killed by Israel. Al-Mamluk was the head of the special rocket unit in the military wing of the PIJ, al-Quds Battalions [Saraya al-Quds سرايا القدس]. Together with al-Mamluk, another two senior PIJ operatives were Killed: Muhammad Abu al-Atta and Kamal Karika.
The assassination operation was made possible in light of accurate intelligence information which enabled the firing of a precise missile that hit a safe house in the Rimal neighborhood in Gaza, where al-Mamluk was congregating with several senior PIJ military commanders.
