Airstrike in Aleppo (May 1, 2023)

During the night (May 1) an airstrike was carried out against targets in the area of Aleppo city. Second attack in three days in northern #Syria against the activity and infrastructure of the Iranian corridor to Syria and #Lebanon.

The first attack took place on April 29 in the town of Shinshar (south of Homs) against apparently several trucks in civilian guise carrying weapons (see video).

Tonight, the area of the airport in Aleppo (which has been shut down) was attacked, and according to reports, a nearby fodder factory (see visual) and food warehouses were also attacked.

It is also possible that the defense industry complex in As-Safirah was attacked (See visual, it is located about 20 kilometers southeast of Aleppo).

SERC websites operate there. The place was considered until the outbreak of the civil war as one of the main activity complexes of SERC for the production, storage, and integration of chemical material in weapons, including sarin gas (It is not clear if it returned to being active as such after being evacuated during the civil war).
