The Iranian Ballistic Missile “Qadr” Type – Are They Intended to Carry the Nuclear Bomb?

According to the Israeli Defense Minister (May 4), the Iranian nuclear program is at the most advanced stage it has ever been at. Iran will not be content with one nuclear bomb. Until today, it has accumulated material enriched at 20% and 60%, which could be enough for five nuclear bombs once the order is given to enrich the uranium to a military level of 90%.

The Iranians currently face one major obstacle and that is the technological “connection” between the bomb and the missile. If the Iranians overcome this obstacle (According to our estimates, this will not happen in the distant future, but long before.) In our estimation, the “Qadr” missile array is intended as part of the Iranian military nuclear program to carry a nuclear warhead.

According to the Israeli Chief of Staff (May 23), there is a possibility of a negative development in terms of the Iranian military nuclear program. This development, according to the Chief of Staff, could result in Israeli action. Did the Chief of Staff mean in his words that the Iranians are bridging the existing gap of “connecting” the bomb to the missile?

The Qadr missile types are Iranian long-range surface-to-surface missiles. They were first revealed in 2007. The Qadr missiles are considered to be the most modern and upgraded version of the Shahab-3 ballistic missile.

Part of the Qadr missile array is deployed in a missile site, part of which is underground, in the mountains in the Tabriz area.

Conventional Qadr missiles are equipped with a modular warhead, which can hold a large number of bombs. The Qadr missiles were produced in three versions: Qadre-F (range 2000 kilometers), Qadre-H (range 1600 kilometers), and Qadre-S (range 1300 kilometers). The missiles are powered by liquid fuel and solid fuel (two-stage).

Their height is up to 16.58 meters, diameter: is 1.25 meters, weight: is up to 17.50 tons, and warheads are between 650 kg and 1000 kg.

It should be noted that there is a certain difficulty in specifically identifying the Iranian weapon systems, data and performance, in light of the Iranian policy of naming the various weapon systems. This is due to the fact that the Iranians tend to call different weapons systems by the same names or, on the contrary, several different names for the same weapon system.
