The Nasser Unit is one of Hezbollah’s geographical units operating under Hezbollah’s southern front. The commander of the southern front is Ali Karki.
Since October 2023, the operatives of these units have been carrying out numerous attacks against Israel, and many of the Hezbollah casualties belong to these units. Since the beginning of the war, 9 senior operatives from the Nasser Unit have been eliminated, including unit commander Talib Sami Abdallah (‘Abu Talib’), who was eliminated on June 11, 2024. Among the senior operatives eliminated are two regional commanders (equivalent to brigade commanders), three seniors from the unit headquarters, the Maroun al-Ras sector commander, the commander of the rocket and missile array in the coast region, and the main operative in the rocket and missile unit. In addition, there are two seniors of the Southern Front: the intelligence officer and the deputy commander of the rocket and missile unit.
