Weekend Update, September 13-15, 2024 – 15:00 – Northern Arena

  1. Over the past 72 hours, Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for 32 attacks against Israel, using high-trajectory fire (approximately 150 rockets), anti-tank missiles, and suicide UAVs and drones.
  2. In addition, no responsibility was claimed for incidents in which 3 UAVs were intercepted around Gornot HaGalil and Zar’it, as well as for the launch of around 20 rockets to the Dishon and Safed regions. Attached is an image of the rocket impacts (Credit: Unknown).
  3. On Friday (September 13), Hezbollah launched approximately 20 Grad rockets toward Safed as well as suicide UAVs to the Upper Galilee. Both attacks targeted areas that are not evacuated (beyond a range of 5 km from the Israel-Lebanon border). Hezbollah claimed that the attacks were in retaliation for the killing of two of its operatives in the Kfar Jouz.

  4. On Friday, the IDF killed Abbas Hamada, a Hezbollah terrorist, In an airstrike in the village of Al-Ahmadiya in the western Beqaa region.
  5. In response to the elimination, on Saturday (September 14), Hezbollah launched about 25 rockets toward Ami’ad, and Safed, non-evacuated communities.
  6. Additionally on Saturday, Hezbollah launched approximately 35 Grad rockets toward the northern area of the sea of Galilee (an area which is not evacuated) and launched suicide UAVs to the Hermon and Margaliot regions. Hezbollah claimed these attacks were in response to an IDF strike on Kfar Remen earlier.
  7. Last night (September 14), the IDF attacked a Hezbollah weapon storage in the Beqaa Valley and Baalbek, near the Lebanese Syrian border.
  8. On Sunday morning (September 15), Hezbollah launched approximately 40 Grad rockets to the northern Golan Heights and Upper Galilee. Hezbollah claimed this was in response to IDF attacks in southern Lebanon, particularly in the town of Sarafand.
  9. In other fronts, this morning (September 15), around 06:20 AM, a ballistic missile was fired by Houthi forces from Yemen toward central Israel. The missile fragments fell in open areas in central Israel with no casualties reported.
  10. Over the past 72 hours, the IDF attacked Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, including structures, rocket launchers, and weapon storages in the following areas: Aitaroun, Maryamine, Chihine, Kaukaba, Majdal Zoun, Jibbain, Blida, Labbouneh, Ramyeh, Ayta ash Shab, and Aalma El Chaeb.
