Daily Update, October 10, 2024 – 14:00 – Northern Arena

  • Over the past 24 hours, 24 attacks were carried out against Israel, of which Hezbollah claimed responsibility for nine. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for four more attacks for which there were no indications confirming them.

  • Hezbollah’s attacks targeted several communities along the border, such as Kiryat Shmona, Beit Hillel, Ma’ayan Baruch, and Rosh Hanikra, as well as Safed and Hatzor HaGalilit.

  • Yesterday (October 9), Hezbollah launched approximately 20 rockets at the city of Kiryat Shmona, killing two civilians.

  • Additionally, Hezbollah launched about 90 projectiles yesterday at the Upper and Western Galilee, and the southern Golan Heights.

  • Yesterday, the IDF announced that Adham Jahout, a main terrorist in the “Golan File” unit was eliminated in Syria. This unit operates under Hezbollah’s command in southern Syria to carry out terror attacks against Israel.

  • This morning (October 10), Hezbollah launched approximately 40 rockets at the city of Kiryat Shmona.

  • Additionally, Hezbollah launched a missile from Lebanon toward the Samaria region, over 60 km from the border. The missile hit an open area and no casualties were reported.

  • This morning, the IDF confirmed that Ahmad Moustafa al-Haj Ali, the commander of Hezbollah’s Houla area, was eliminated. In another strike carried out by the IDF, Mohammad Ali Hamdan, the commander of the anti-tank unit in the Meiss El Jabal area, was also eliminated.

  • During the past 24 hours the IDF attacked weapons depots in Beirut, as well as weapons depots, rocket launchers, and Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. Additionally, IDF maneuvering forces identified and destroyed LARGE amounts of various types of weapons aimed at Israeli communities, as well as Hezbollah underground infrastructure (Photos attached).
  • In the past 24 hours, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for 9 attacks against targets in northern and southern Israel. Only one UAV that was heading toward Israel from Iraq was reported to have been intercepted; in the other cases, no further indications were reported.
