Daily Update, October 14, 2024 – 15:00 – Northern Arena

  • In the last 24 hours, 50 attacks were carried out from Lebanon against Israel, of which Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 27. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 4 attacks which cannot be confirmed.

  • The attacks targeted communities near the border, such as Zar’it, Misgav Am, Shtula, Manara, and Metula, as well as Kiryat Shmona, Ma’alot Tarshiha, Nahariya, Haifa and the Krayot area, which are deep in Israeli territory. Furthermore, two attacks targeted the Hadera, Binyamina, and Netanya areas, more than 90 km from the Lebanese border.

  • Yesterday (September 13), Hezbollah launched suicide UAVs to a military base near Binyamina, killing 4 soldiers and wounding more than 60 others.

  • Today (September 14), Hezbollah launched several projectiles toward Netanya, more than 90 km from the Lebanese border. All of the projectiles were intercepted.

  • The Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed responsibility for 3 attacks against targets in northern Israel. The IDF reported two UAVs were intercepted while on route to Israel from Syria.

  • The IDF’s maneuvering forces continued operations to destroy Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure and weaponry. The forces located massive quantities of weapons in underground tunnels that Hezbollah had concealed near the border.

  • Attached is a video of an underground tunnel discovered by IDF forces in southern Lebanon, a few hundred meters from the border. This tunnel is intended to be used as a staging area for an invasion to the Galilee communities.
  • IDF airstrikes destroyed more than 200 terror targets, including rocket launchers, anti-tank launch positions, buildings, and weapon storage facilities.

  • In one of the airstrikes, the IDF eliminated the terrorist Muhammad Kamel Naeem, the Commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces Anti-Tank Missile Unit.

  • Attached are videos showing the rocket barrage this morning toward the Sasa area, as well as a picture of a rocket hit in the city of Haifa (credit: unknown).
  • Attached also is weapons and underground tunnel shafts found approximately a kilometer away from the UNIFIL post. Hezbollah is exploiting the presence of UNIFIL in southern Lebanon as part of a human shield tactic.
