Hezbollah intensified the use of statistical weapons against large civilian population concentrations in northern Israel. We have counted 8 heavy rocket barrage attacks on the northern region (over 70 launches) since September. The latest barrage attack on Haifa and the Krayot occurred on November 11, 2024 (80 launches). On October 8, there was another attack characterized by a heavy barrage, also focused on Haifa and the Krayot, which included 85 launches.
Additionally, there were two more attacks involving heavy barrages that also included Haifa and the Krayot but were not exclusively targeted at them. Since the beginning of the ground operation, Hezbollah has been focusing its major rocket attacks on the large cities in the north. This creates a psychological effect via a narrative of “victory image” and attrition, especially if the outcomes are deadly or have the potential to be so. Statistical analysis shows that since the beginning of November, there has actually been a decrease in the average number of daily attacks compared to October (27 attacks per day in November so far, compared to 37 in October).
Since the beginning of November, we know of over 700 launches that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon. This number is based on data that the IDF publishes daily regarding only the significant rocket barrages into Israeli territory.
