An Attack on Aleppo International Airport – Syria

In the early morning hours (August 28) the international airport in Aleppo was attacked for the third time this year. According to an official Syrian announcement, the runway was damaged and shut down. Within the area of the airport, the military base “Nairab” operates. In March 2023, the field was attacked twice.

Even then the runway was damaged and shut down. In addition, weapons storage sites near the field were damaged (weapons that arrived and were stored as part of the Iranian corridor). We note that yesterday morning (August 27), the Iranian Ilyushin ep-pus plane was spotted in the skies of eastern Syria, flying from south to north, after not being spotted in the skies of Syria since July 31.

The plane is known to be involved in transporting equipment within the framework of the Iranian corridor to #Syria and even to #Russia.
