[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Commander of the Northern Command: “The IDF will not allow Hezbollah to establish terror infrastructure in the Syrian Golan”.

Chief of Staff: ” We will continue to thwart Iran’s attempts to transfer weapons to Hezbollah”.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_images_carousel images=”3172,3173,3174″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As we have reported repeatedly over the past few weeks, Hezbollah is increasing its efforts in recruiting Syrian locals, as part of its efforts for “Shiitezation” and to gain influence and military strength over the Syrian southwest.

First and foremost, these statements show the IDF will not hesitate to secure the safety of its citizens and prevent Hezbollah from expanding its threat from south Lebanon to include the Syrian south.  The IDF is keen on preserving and improving its deterrence, and clearly indicates its red flags in south Syria, despite the emplacement of the Russian Antiaircraft S-300 , which probably limits Israel’s  freedom of operation in Syria.
