Hamas has been building a second front against Israel from Lebanon. In an attempt to hinder the IDF efforts in the south, Hamas could drag Israel into a wider war in Lebanon with Hezbollah having little control over the escalation yet having to face Israeli firepower. At least four other Palestinian terror groups also exist within Lebanon and pose a threat to Israel, the Lebanese, and each other.
