IDF Strikes on Threats in Southern Lebanon: 18-24 August 2025

In the week between August 18 and 24, the IDF carried out several strikes on Hezbollah military infrastructure, including weapons depots, launchers, and engineering equipment utilized in reconstruction activity. The IDF also continues to strike mobile structures. As we have previously published, some of these structures are used by Hezbollah for its activity under civilian cover. In addition, two operatives were eliminated, one of them being Muhammad Qassem from Aita al-Shaab, who during the war became a “symbol of the struggle” in his town after refusing to evacuate and engaging in infrastructure reconstruction. In the past week, a certain decrease can be noted in the number of IDF strikes in Lebanon. This may be due to negotiations conducted by the American envoys Thomas Barrack and Morgan Ortagus on the disarmament of Hezbollah and, according to reports, an American request to Israel to restrain the strikes and allow the Lebanese government and the Lebanese army to act.

  1. Dear Tal,
Israel must continue to execute justice until Lebanon creates laws to prohibit the existence of Hezbollah in Lebanon, and fully executes those laws. Otherwise Israeli execution of Justice should continue to increase until the mission is completed and Hezbollah no longer exists.
