On November 13, a red private vehicle exploded in the town of Toul, west of Nabatieh. Following the explosion, several secondary blasts occurred and dozens of hand grenades were scattered near the vehicle. According to the initial reports, it appeared to be an airstrike. However, this was not the cause of the explosion. Hezbollah attempted to transport weapons in a civilian vehicle while passing through a densely populated civilian area. Due to some malfunction, the explosion occurred. Hezbollah has always operated within a civilian environment for the purposes of cover, secrecy, and its human-shield tactic. Today, in light of its reconstruction efforts and the increase in secrecy, operating within a civilian environment is critical for Hezbollah, and naturally this comes without any regard for the potential collateral damage such activity may cause.
