Weapons Bound for Hezbollah Seized by Syrian Forces in Serghaya – 17 December 2025

It appears that Syrian security forces are contributing more to dismantling Hezbollah than the Lebanese Army, which is occupied with public-relations displays for the media and foreign diplomats. Earlier today (December 17), Syrian Internal Security Forces in the Serghaya area, near the border with Lebanon, thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons intended for transfer to Hezbollah. The area is known as a smuggling hub with several informal border crossings. The shipment included hundreds of RPG anti-tank rockets, which were systematically concealed in preparation for smuggling across the border into Lebanon. To date, we have identified several types of weapons that Hezbollah is attempting to smuggle from Syria in large quantities: short-range Grad rockets, anti-tank missiles (usually of the Kornet type), and RPG rockets.

  1. Dear Tal,
When comparing the performances of two evils, we must not fall into the trap of accepting what appears to be a lesser evil. Evil remains evil. Good remains good. We must overcome all evil and replace all evil with all good. No jihaddis, no dead innocent bodies. Let us remember the innocent young lives killed or enslaved by radical jihaddists.
May God avenge all their innocent blood.
