On December 10, Syrian security forces raided a weapons warehouse that had been established at a farm in the eastern Daraa Governorate. The warehouse contained 42 “Sagger” anti-tank missiles and four “Metis” anti-tank missiles, along with their launchers. Over the past year, we have witnessed similar weapons seizures by Syrian security forces in southern #Syria, but not on a scale or in quantities that correspond to the scope and amount of weapons actually present in this area. The weapons seized over the past year in southern Syria by Syrian security forces point to the potential for a significant threat. Such weapons are, among other things, intended for potential use by local terrorist cells operated by the Shiite axis, #ISIS, or Palestinian organizations against #IDF forces operating in southern Syria, a scenario that could lead to a broad security escalation. In addition, there is a real potential for their smuggling through Jordan into the Judea and Samaria area, thereby altering the security threat environment in Judea and Samaria.

Dear Tal,
All jihaddist terrorists must be disarmed. If weapons are only seized and transferred from one jihaddist terror group to another, there has been NO progress. This shell game of weapons and financing must be closely monitored and ended!
