IDF Strikes in Lebanon – Weekly Summary  

The week was characterized by a relatively low intensity of strikes. During the period between 3 and 9 February, eight IDF airstrikes were conducted across Lebanon, in areas both north and south of the Litani River, as well as in the Beqaa Valley.   On 8 February, six strikes were carried out in the Beqaa Valley and in southern Lebanon (north and south of the Litani). As part of these strikes, tunnel shafts used for the storage of weapons and located at Hezbollah military sites were targeted. In two additional strikes, a Hezbollah operative was eliminated, Head of Artillery in Yanouh and is Lebanese Army retiree, and another target was struck in Kfar Kila.   In addition, during an IDF ground operation in the village of Habbariyeh, located south of the Litani River, Atwi Muhammad Atwi, responsible for the Hasbaiyya and Marjaayoun areas within al-Jama’a al-Islamiya, was detained. Weapons were located in the building in which Atwi was apprehended.
