Daily Update: Hezbollah Joins the Fighting and Opens a Northern Front – Daily Report as of March 6, 12:00 (Day 5 of the War in the North)

On March 2, Hezbollah officially joined the war and launched a wave of attacks toward northern Israel. Since the beginning of its involvement, it has carried out a total of 116 attack incidents targeting Israeli territory and IDF forces operating in Lebanon. These attacks include the launch of rockets, missiles, UAVs, anti-tank missiles, and an explosive device attack (incidents based on Hezbollah’s claims of responsibility). Over the past 24 hours, Hezbollah carried out 23 attacks against Israel using rockets (16 incidents) and UAVs (7 incidents) targeting northern Israel — including borderline communities, the Galilee, the Golan Heights, and the Haifa area. The primary weapons Hezbollah has been using in attacks against Israeli territory are rockets and missiles. Regarding the combat arenas, as of the current reporting period, most attacks against Israel were carried out from Lebanon by Hezbollah rather than from Iran. Damage to the civilian sphere in Israel: As a result of Hezbollah’s attacks in the past 24 hours, property damage was reported — including vehicles and businesses in the city of Tiberias. On the first day of Hezbollah’s entry into the fighting (March 2), 10 attack incidents were documented. On the second day, 20 attack incidents were documented. On the third day, which has been the most intense so far, 36 attack incidents were recorded. On the fourth day, 25 incidents were documented, and on the fifth day, 23 incidents.
