Over the past week, May 25–31, the IDF carried out 514 waves of airstrikes in Lebanon. This figure reflects the continued upward trend in the scope of Israeli air activity, following 328 waves of airstrikes carried out during the previous week, May 19–25. This represents an increase of approximately 57% in the weekly number of strikes.
There was also a significant increase in the daily intensity of Israeli Air Force activity. Over the past week, the daily average stood at approximately 73 waves of airstrikes per day, compared with approximately 47 waves per day during the previous week. This reflects an increase of approximately 55% in the daily strike volume.
During the week, on May 28, an attempted targeted killing was carried out in the Beirut area against Ali al-Husseini, who is responsible for missile operations in the Imam Hussein Division. At this stage, the results of the strike are unknown.
This week as well, the majority of the strikes — 496 waves of attacks — were carried out in southern Lebanon, both south and north of the Litani River:
•259 waves of strikes south of the Litani
•237 waves of strikes north of the Litani
This week saw a noticeable increase in strikes in the area north of the Litani. In the previous week, they accounted for 36% of all strikes, while this week they accounted for 46% of all airstrikes.
In addition, 16 waves of strikes were carried out in the Beqaa region: 11 strikes in the northwestern Beqaa area and 5 strikes in the Baalbek area, in northern Beqaa.
This week, the trend of concentrating the majority of activity beyond the Yellow Line also continued. Of all the strikes, 481 waves were carried out outside the area of the Yellow Line, while only 33 strikes were carried out within its boundaries.
In total, since the beginning of the “ceasefire” on April 17, 2026, the IDF has carried out 1,311 airstrikes across Lebanon:
•743 waves of strikes in southern Lebanon, south of the Litani
•519 waves of strikes in southern Lebanon, north of the Litani
•43 waves of strikes in the Beqaa region
•4 waves of strikes in Mount Lebanon, not shown in the graphic
•2 waves of strikes in Beirut’s Dahiyeh
In terms of the distribution of strikes relative to the Yellow Line:
•1,205 strikes were carried out outside the Yellow Line
•106 strikes were carried out within the boundaries of the Yellow Line
