Air Defenses of Iran’s Khojir Missile Production Complex and Parchin Nuclear Site

By: Colin David.

To the southeast of Tehran can be found a high concentration of air-defense missile batteries and radars to protect two key military facilities: The Khojir Missile Production Complex and Parchin Nuclear Complex. Khojir leads the development of the Iranian ballistic missile program, while Parchin is known to advance Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Both sites suffered limited damage from aerial attacks on October 26, 2024. Some of the numerous air-defense systems undoubtedly survived the strikes, while the two main facilities remain operational. Photography from the ground, the air, and satellite paint the picture of Iranian defenses for two of its most valued military bases.
