Airstrikes on Iran’s Defense Industry Company for Aircraft Manufacturing – HESA

Significant strike against the Iranian UAV program – Satellite imagery from @Planet reveals that airstrikes have struck the Iranian Defense Industry’s HESA complex north of Isfahan. HESA is Iran’s defense company which manufactures and develops military aircraft and leads in the production of several Iranian UAVs, such as the Mohajer series of unmanned strike-capable ISR aircraft. The targeting of HESA signals a shift towards destroying Iran’s means of creating UAVs, which replenish destroyed UAV depots. Iran has launched roughly 2,000 UAVs since the start of the war, according to sources inside the regime in Tehran. Iran’s UAVs have mostly hit a combination of civilian and military targets across the Gulf Arab states, while also hitting an airport in Azerbaijan, as well as targeting British bases in Cyprus. The HESA complex is also deep in Iran’s interior, approximately 500 km from the Iraqi border, and these strikes show that the US and IDF targeting is also reaching further into Iran.
