An Attack Outside Massa, Lebanon (June 24th, 2024)

On June 24, the IDF attacked in the area around the village of Massa, in the Bekaa, near the border with Syria.

Targets related to Hezbollah’s air defense array were attacked based on two main sources: Russian and Iranian (Hezbollah has, of course, shoulder-fired missiles of various types, including American ones). The Iranian corridor certainly includes (according to the findings of the current fighting) the 358 missiles and the Siad-2 missile (which have several options for launching surveillance and control systems).

In light of the diverse Iranian arsenal, it must be assumed that Hezbollah has additional Iranian systems. As far as we understand, Hezbollah’s heavy anti-aircraft missile systems are deployed in at least three central areas: the Bekaa, southern Lebanon (Nabatieh plateau), and the coastal area (Sidon). The light systems (shoulder missiles) are in the hands of all Hezbollah operational units throughout Lebanon.
