General:
In the north, the situation worsens. Hezbollah has intensified its aggression against Israel. Yesterday, air-raid sirens blared throughout the Northern frontier. Hezbollah launched an ATGM killing an Israeli truck driver, in addition, the city of Kiryat Shmona and other communities in the area, were bombarded with a dozen rockets, hitting homes and causing severe damage, including disruptions to the city’s electricity supply.
In the south, during the past 24 hours, fighter jets of the Air Force attacked approximately 450 Hamas targets, including military compounds, observation posts, anti-tank posts, and more. Furthermore, IDF Navy forces and ground forces attacked headquarters, anti-tank missile launching positions, and other observation posts belonging to Hamas, killing Hamas senior commanders.
– So far, according to the IDF since Saturday morning Oct. 7, 1,400 Israelis were murdered and 6,900 Israelis wounded. 347 IDF soldiers killed in action. 241 confirmed abducted civilians and IDF soldiers, including a total of 35 children, 10 of whom are below the age of 5, and 18 elderly persons who are 75 years of age or older. many more are still missing. Since the beginning of hostilities, 9,000+ rockets have been launched into Israel. To date, an estimated 250,000 Israelis have been compelled to leave their homes in the communities and towns adjacent to the northern frontier and the Gaza Strip, and have since been placed in different locations across the country. Israeli IDF reservists recruited 360,000.
French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne: The number of French citizens murdered in the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas has risen to 40.
Operational Updates:
Northern Arena:
-Since the volley of rockets fired at Kiryat Shmona and the nearby communities last night, today the northern border was quiet, until this afternoon when at 16:45, approximately 30 rockets were detected fired towards Nahariya, Haifa and the surrounding cities in-between at the same time alarms blared in the Upper Galilee. No injuries or damage were apparent. Hamas Lebanon took responsibility for the incident. The IDF responded with artillery fire at the sources of the fire.
Gaza and Southern Israel:
– Overnight, IDF ground troops took control of a Hamas military complex in Gaza. The facility had surveillance points, Hamas training sites, and underground terror tunnels. IDF fighter jets attacked nearly 450 Hamas targets in the past 24 hours, including tunnels, terrorists, military installations, observation posts, anti-tank missile launch sites, and more. Furthermore, IDF Naval Forces attacked Hamas terrorist organization command centers, anti-tank launch posts, and additional observation posts.
Based on ISA and IDF intelligence, senior Hamas terrorist commanders were killed during the operation, including:
– Jamal Mussa, was eliminated by an IAF fighter jet, directed by ISA and IDF intelligence. Mussa was in charge of special security operations in the Hamas terrorist organization.
–Wael Asefa, Commander of Hamas’ Deir al-Balah Battalion in the Central Camps Brigade, was killed overnight by an IAF fighter jet directed by ISA and IDF intelligence. Asefa, along with other Central Camps Brigade leaders, was responsible for transferring Hamas “Nukhba” terrorists into Israeli territory during the October 7th massacre. He planned more terrorist strikes after the massacre. Wael Asefa was imprisoned in Israel from 1992 and 1998 for his involvement in terrorist attacks against Israeli communities, and he has long been active in inciting and promoting terrorist attacks against Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers.
Furthermore, IDF soldiers killed several more Hamas unit commanders in ground confrontations.
-During ground operations in Gaza, IDF troops discovered and exposed proof of Hamas’s terrorist exploitation of civilian compounds. Rocket launch pits discovered in a mosque by a team of soldiers from the 460th Brigade during an operation to locate terrorist infrastructure and clear the area were destroyed. Furthermore, the soldiers discovered over 50 rockets ready to be launched into Israel from inside a youth movement complex in Northern Gaza.
– In accordance with international law, the IDF continues to urge Gaza City inhabitants to move to a safe humanitarian zone in the Gaza Strip’s southwest, in the Al-Mawasi area, where international aid is supplied via the Rafah crossing. Hamas terrorists are attempting to impede their evacuation through persuasion or force, to exploit these civilians as “human shields.”
Today, again, IDF Spokesman in Arabic, Lt. Col. Avihai Adrei, appealed to the residents of the Gaza Strip urging them to evacuate to the south and take advantage of the opportunity to move south across the Gaza Wadi. The IDF once again will allow traffic on the Salah al-Din route between 10:00-14:00.
-Hamas continues to demonstrate its capabilities to launch missiles into Israel. Today, rockets were launched from Gaza toward the south and center of Israel.
Humanitarian aid:
It should be noted that under the Rules of War, Israel is under no obligation to supply for the needs of its enemy, Hamas.
-Rafah crossing on the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip remains open for the flow of humanitarian aid carrying, medicine, medical equipment and food, due to US pressure, Israel increased humanitarian aid. The IDF emphasizes that all equipment is checked before entering the Strip.
– Yesterday 75 trucks of food, water, and medicine or medical supplies entered via Rafah crossing. Israel has opened two water pipelines to the south of the Gaza Strip, supplying about 28 million liters of drinkable water each day. With Israel’s approval, the Jordanian army parachuted humanitarian aid into Gaza.
In Israel, there are voices of protest against the insertion of any humanitarian aid into Gaza, while Israel does not receive any humanitarian aid or information in return regarding the abductees and hostages held by Hamas. Nothing has been done despite repeated petitions to the Red Cross.
– Last night, 38 wanted persons were arrested throughout the Judea and Samaria Division, five of them Hamas terrorists. In the operation to counter terrorism in the Yehuda Division, three printing houses, which were used to print inflammatory materials for the terrorist organization Hamas, in the Hebron area were sealed. During weapons searches throughout Menashe Brigade, an improvised weapon and military equipment were unearthed.
-Palestinian media reported that Israeli forces killed three gunmen in a car in the West Bank city of Tulkarem. Two of them are named: Izz a-Din Awad, a Hamas commander, and Jihad Maharaj Shehadeh, an Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades commander.
So far, since the beginning of the war, over 1,350 wanted persons have been arrested throughout the Judea and Samaria Division and the Bekaa and Amakim Division, over 850 of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.
– A Palestinian terrorist stabbed two Israeli Border Police Officers in Jerusalem this morning by the Herod Gate. The Border Police officer critically wounded in this morning’s stabbing attack has died. She is named as Sgt. Elisheva Rose Ida Lubin, 20, from Kibbutz Sa’ad. Lubin moved to Israel from the US in August 2021 and drafted to the police in March 2022.
Lebanon:
– French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu said he would approve the transfer of dozens of armored fighting vehicles to the Lebanese army.
Jordan:
The Prime Minister of Jordan, Bisher Al-Khasawneh: “Any attempt or creation of conditions to displace Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank – constitute a red line. Jordan will see this as a declaration of war.”
International Arena:
-The Pentagon Press Secretary announced an update on the status of hostile actions taken against US forces in Iraq and Syria.
The number of attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq and Syria rose significantly over the weekend, from 30 to 38 in total with the number of service members wounded rising to 46 since the start of attacks on US forces on October 17th.
Also released today was a video of Pro-Iranian Iraqi militia (Islamic Resistance in Iraq) launching rockets and loitering munition toward US bases in Ein-Al-Asad, Erbil airport, Al-Tanf, and Tell Beydar (Nov 6, 2023).
– US Central Command announced on November 5th, 2023 that an Ohio-class nuclear-capable submarine has arrived in its area of responsibility. The submarine is the USS Florida with 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles on board along with an arsenal of other offensive and defensive weapons.
– New York Times: The Biden administration warned Iran and Hezbollah, via regional intermediaries such as Turkey, that the US was prepared to intervene militarily in the fight against them if they launched an attack on Israel.
– Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. In his words, Dankov emphasized: “Hamas and its entire military and administrative infrastructure must be eradicated – because it cannot continue like this.”
