Daily Update (March 15): Hezbollah Attacks Against Israel

On March 15, 34 Hezbollah attack waves against Israel were identified. In terms of weapon types, 27 attack waves (79.4%) were carried out using rockets and missiles, while 7 attack waves (20.6%) involved UAVs. The figures refer to the number of attack waves identified, not the total number of munitions launched. Most of the attacks were directed toward border communities and the Galilee, consistent with the pattern observed in recent days. In addition, one attack wave targeted the central region. It also appears that three of the attacks during the day were directed at IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. It should be noted that information regarding attacks inside Lebanon is based solely on Hezbollah’s claims of responsibility, and no additional independent indications were identified. Since Hezbollah joined the fighting on March 2, a total of 485 attack waves against Israel have been identified. An examination of the weapon types used by the organization indicates that rockets and missiles remain Hezbollah’s primary means of attack, accounting for 346 attack waves, alongside 139 attack waves involving UAVs, 13 anti-tank missile attacks, and one IED attack. An examination of the daily trend indicates fluctuations in the scope of attacks throughout the course of the campaign. Following a peak in activity on March 14 with 56 attack waves, a moderate decrease was recorded on March 15 (34 waves). However, the overall level of activity remains relatively high and continues to average dozens of attack waves per day, indicating that Hezbollah is maintaining a sustained offensive operational tempo, combining rocket fire with continued UAV usage.
