Daily Update (March 8): Hezbollah Attacks Against Israel (Day 8 of the War in the North)

Since Hezbollah joined the war (March 2), it has carried out a total of 223 waves of attacks against Israeli territory, including launches of rockets, missiles, and UAVs (drones). (This figure refers to the number of attack waves, not the total number of munitions fired at Israel.) On March 8, Hezbollah carried out 31 waves of attacks against Israel using rockets, UAVs, and anti-tank missiles. The primary areas targeted by Hezbollah are frontline border communities, towns in the Galilee, and the Krayot and Haifa areas. Hezbollah has also conducted attacks against IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon, and it was reported yesterday that two IDF soldiers were killed in Lebanon. Regarding attack patterns, Hezbollah’s main weapons are rockets and missiles, which yesterday (March 8) accounted for the majority of the attacks (approximately 61.3%). About 35.5% of the attacks were carried out using UAVs, while in one instance, an anti-tank missile was used against IDF forces. This trend indicates the continued extensive use of UAVs alongside massive rocket fire. Examining the daily trend, fluctuations in the scale of attacks are evident: – On the first day of Hezbollah’s entry into the war (March 2), 12 waves of attacks were documented. – On the second day (March 3), 23 waves of attacks. – On the third day (March 4) – the most intense so far – 47 waves of attacks. – On the fourth day (March 5), 21 waves of attacks. – On the fifth day (March 6), 43 waves of attacks. – On the sixth day (March 7), 46 waves of attacks. – On the seventh day (March 8), 31 waves of attacks.
