- In the last 24 hours, 33 attacks were carried out against Israel, of which Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 12 attacks.
- Hezbollah carried out rocket and missile attacks directly targeting the cities of Haifa, the Krayot, Karmiel, Shlomi, Tiberias, and communities near the border with Lebanon. Additionally, Hezbollah launched missiles to the Tel Aviv area.
- Today (October 8) alone, Hezbollah launched about 135 projectiles towards Israel.
- Yesterday (October 7), Hezbollah launched five missiles toward the Tel Aviv area, more than 100 km from the Israel-Lebanon border. Some were intercepted, while others hit open areas.
- Yesterday, the IDF conducted an extensive aerial operation and struck over 120 terror targets in southern Lebanon within an hour. This attack targeted different Hezbollah units’ assets, including Hezbollah’s Southern Front regional units, the Radwan unit, the Missiles and Rockets Force, and the Intelligence Directorate.
- Additionally, yesterday, the IDF attacked Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in Beirut, as well as more than 70 sites throughout the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon. These include weapons production and storage sites, launch sites, command and control sites and other terror infrastructures.
- Today, the IDF announced that Suhail Hussein Husseini, Hezbollah’s Headquarters Commander, was eliminated in a targeted strike.
- This morning (October 8), the IDF announced that Division 146 began a focused and confined ground operations in southern Lebanon. This follows yesterday’s announcement that Division 91 joined the ground operations in southern Lebanon.
- This morning, Hezbollah launched 25 rockets toward the Tiberias area and the lower Galilee. Additionally, Hezbollah launched about 110 rockets, in two barrages, toward the Haifa and Krayot area, where approximately half a million citizens reside. Some of the rockets were intercepted, while others hit in the area, injuring one civilian.
- During the ground maneuver, while inspecting a residential house, IDF forces identified a ready-to-fire rocket launcher, aimed at communities close to the border. Additionally, underground infrastructures, hiding holes, and areas used for staging and preparation by Hezbollah terrorists were also discovered (photos attached).
