Did the US threaten to stop funding governmental offices if handed to Hezbollah?

Saad Hariri - Lebanese Prime Minister

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sources within Lebanon claim that the American Embassy had increased its threat to stop the funding to any governmental office if handed to Hezbollah.

Ever since the elections last May, Saad Hariri had struggled to compose a government. Hariri stated last week that he has done all he could to compose a government, while Hezbollah’s demands are preventing the composition of the government.

Recent reports suggest that Hezbollah `eyes the position of Minister of Health after the recent success in the elections. Furthermore, the reports claim that Hezbollah aims for a service position, and that the Health Minister position is ideal to grant its supporters and fighters from the battles in Syria with free insurances in the midst of the ongoing corruption within the department. Whether the reports that the American Embassy had truly increased its threats is unclear, yet it certainly is the right approach, to prevent a terrorist organization from holding a position of power in a government allied with the US.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]also reported in: http://janoubia.com
