IDF Strikes on Hezbollah Threats in Southern Lebanon – 21-27 July 2025

July 27 marked eight months to the ceasefire with Lebanon. Since the ceasefire came into effect, 474 airstrikes have been carried out in Lebanon by the IDF in response to Hezbollah violations. 47.5% of the attacks took place south of the Litani, 36.9% north of the Litani, 13.5% in the Beqaa, and 2.1% in Beirut. In addition, 131 Hezbollah operatives have been eliminated (the data refers only to confirmed eliminations that include details of the individual and the location). 53.4% of the eliminations occurred south of the Litani and 31% north of the Litani. 23 (17.6%) of those eliminated were from the Radwan Unit. Alongside the airstrikes and eliminations, the IDF is also conducting ground activity near the border, targeting buildings and infrastructure used by Hezbollah for observation and the restoration of terrorist activity against Israel. During the past week (starting July 21), six Hezbollah operatives were eliminated, including two members of the Radwan Unit and two commanders in the Bint Jbeil sector. Hezbollah’s efforts to rebuild have continued constantly since the ceasefire, including by the Radwan Unit, which is working to reestablish its presence and operations in southern Lebanon in general, and south of the Litani in particular. Israel’s presence in Lebanese territory and the daily strikes are necessary to thwart the Hezbollah threat, including the potential threat of infiltration into Israeli territory.
