Iran Bolsters Hezbollah’s Presence in Lebanon with Strategic Support

Iran is not giving up its presence and activity in Lebanon. Iran has made a strategic decision to support Hezbollah’s reconstruction processes. Even symbolic activity reinforces the message: Iran is in Lebanon to stay. On September 8, Iran, together with the leadership of Hezbollah’s “Fifth Region” in the Beqaa, provided a generator with all the equipment required to operate a water well serving the towns of al-Ram and al-Joubaniyeh. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, attended by Iranian representatives, senior Hezbollah officials led by Dr. Hussein al-Nimr, head of the Union of Local Councils in North Baalbek (“the Fifth Region”), and local activists. Al-Nimr emphasized that the two towns were among the pioneers in supporting the line of resistance and pledged to continue activities for the benefit of the citizens. At the end of the event, the generator was inaugurated, and water pumping from the well began.

  1. Dear Tal,
Your reporting again demonstrates the immediate necessity of removing hezbollah’s presence before healthy governance can be restored in Lebanon. The coexistance of hezbollah’s cancerous jihaddist resistance is by definition resistance to governance by the enforcement of just laws. The initial act of the total removal of hezbollah will be the beginning of the enforcement of justice. Anything less will lead to death and destruction, which is the stated goal of the ayatollah and all his proxies whose defined policy is the genocidal destruction of the State of Israel.
