ISIS continues to operate in northeastern #Syria. Their main target is fuel tankers traveling from the oil fields in eastern Syria towards the west, to the refineries. Some of the tankers belong to an oil transportation and refinery management company owned by Hossam Ahmed Katarji – a close associate of President Assad. Syrian army forces accompanying the convoys have also sustained casualties in ISIS attacks.
