Isfahan is militarily a center of gravity for the Iran regime in their ability to maintain and project power with several essential bases around the city. These include; the largest helicopter base of the Iranian armed forces, underground weapons storage sites, and the largest IRGC training base in the province where IRGC special operations forces are trained and high-level IRGC leadership is known to visit.
