The Syrian internal security forces discovered on September 27 in the town of al-Qusayr, in western Homs governorate near the border with Lebanon, a large cache of more than 200 Grad rockets, dozens of RPG rockets, mortar bombs and machine guns. The Grad rockets were found in a warehouse in the town. The weapons were apparently intended for smuggling to Hezbollah. This is not the first time an attempt to smuggle weapons from this area has been foiled. Even now, similar to the period of activity of the Iranian weapons corridor in Syria during the Assad regime, the geographic area around the town of al-Qusayr serves as a major transit point for weapons smuggling to Lebanon.

One Response
Dear Tal,
Although we welcome the obstruction of arms passing through Syria to Iranian proxy terrorists, the muslim brotherhood backed terrorists pose another sinister threat. Two conflicting evils may temporarily or superficially appear helpful, but Evil plus Evil does not equal a good outcome. Remove both evils and achieve GOOD governance!
