Over the weekend, the pattern of attacks attributed to Iran and its proxies across the Gulf and the broader region continued. The attacks involved a combination of missiles and UAVs targeting both military and civilian sites, alongside interceptions by regional states. The Iranian proxy “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” claimed responsibility for 50 attacks over the weekend, carried out using missiles and UAVs against targets in Iraq and across the region. At the same time, another pro-Iranian militia called “Kataib Jund al-Karrar,” which claims to operate from Syrian territory, recently claimed responsibility for several additional attacks, including strikes on a U.S. forces base in al-Palya in Syria, attacks on Israeli targets in the Golan Heights, and a strike on a military base in Jordan. We are unable to verify these claims, and it is possible that this name serves as a cover for activities conducted by Iraqi Shiite militias operating from Iraqi territory. United Arab Emirates: Over the weekend, several targets in the country were attacked, including Ben Zayed Airport in Abu Dhabi and Dubai International Airport. In addition, a residential building and a hotel in Dubai were targeted by UAVs. The UAE Ministry of Defense announced that it intercepted 16 ballistic missiles launched toward the country and that another missile fell into the sea. Bahrain: The attacks in the country included strikes on oil facilities and a desalination plant, as well as damage to civilian buildings in the capital Manama, including a hotel and residential buildings. Kuwait: Several targets in the country were attacked over the weekend, including Ali Al-Salem Air Base and a U.S. radar station. Rejports also indicated damage to the Social Security building in the capital and a UAV strike on jet fuel storage tanks at Kuwait International Airport. Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia announced that it intercepted three ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward Prince Sultan Air Base. Jordan: A military base in the country was reportedly attacked. At the same time, a spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that since the start of the war, 60 missiles and 59 UAVs had been launched toward vital targets in the kingdom. Iraq: Over the weekend, Kurdish targets in Erbil were attacked, while the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was targeted with a suicide drone and several missiles. Maritime arena: A vessel in the Strait of Hormuz was reportedly attacked. Overall, the events point to the continuation of multi-front activity, including attacks against military bases, energy and water infrastructure, airports, and civilian buildings, with extensive use primarily of UAVs but also missiles, and operations by pro-Iranian proxy groups alongside attacks attributed directly to Iran.
