Weekend Update June 27-30, 2024, 02:30 pm – Northern Arena

1. In the past 72 hours, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for 14 attacks against Israel using high-trajectory fire, anti-tank missiles, and suicide UAVs.

2. In addition, a Hezbollah UAV was intercepted near Kfar Blum in the Upper Galilee.

3. On Thursday (June 27), Hezbollah launched approximately 35 Grad rockets toward the Birya area.  As a result, fires broke out in the area and houses were damaged in the village of Birya, attached is a video and a photo taken from social networks (credit: unknown).

4. On Thursday, Ali Ahmed Alaa Eldin was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the village of Sohmor. According to the IDF he was a key operative in Hezbollah’s air unit (Unit 127) and carried out UAV attacks against Israel.

5. On Friday (June 28), Hezbollah launched several attacks toward the Upper and Western Galilee regions. In one attack rockets and anti-tank missiles were launched toward the community of Shlomi in the Western Galilee. As a result, a house in Shlomi was directly hit while one of the rockets fell in the nearby community of Betzet, hitting a farm and killing two horses. In addition, Hezbollah launched suicide UAVs toward the Ga’aton area, also in the Western Galilee.

At the same time, rockets were launched toward the Beit Hillel region.

In total, about 25 launches toward the Western and Upper Galilee were detected. Fires broke out in several locations.

6. In the past 72 hours, the IDF struck Hezbollah compounds and infrastructures around Aitaroun, Houla, Odaisseh, Khiam, Ramyeh, Tiri, Kfarkela, Chihine, Taybeh and Rab El Thalathine. In addition, the IDF destroyed an infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah Aerial Unit in Jabal Safi, north of Nabatieh.

7. In addition, IDF soldiers shot artillery fire to remove threats around Naqoura and Wadi Hamoul.
