Hussein Ali Nasr, also known as “Abu Ali Hassan”, from the village of Haruf, deputy commander of Hezbollah’s Unit 4400, was killed yesterday (April 21, 2025) in an airstrike while driving his vehicle on the road between the villages of Al-Charqiyeh and Kaouthariyet El Saiyad, southern Lebanon.
Nasr was responsible for smuggling weapons and money into Lebanon as part of Hezbollah’s military reconstruction and buildup. He worked in cooperation with the Iranian Quds Force to smuggle weapons, including through Beirut airport. He also worked to carry out weapons purchase transactions and smuggle them through the border with Syria. Nasr was in contact with airport employees who secretly assisted in the smuggling. Recently, about 30 employees at Beirut airport (cargo carriers, etc.) were suspended from their positions for aiding Hezbollah. In the attached visual, you can see the location of his elimination and the identification of the international airport terminal in Baghdad, where he was photographed on one of his trips outside Lebanon, possibly as part of his duties and/or as part of a religious pilgrimage to one of the Shiite sites in Iraq.
