From June 13, the beginning of the war with Iran, until June 21, Iran launched over 500 ballistic missiles toward major cities in Israel. An analysis of the daily missile launch data shows that in the first two days, Iran fired heavy barrages of over 100 missiles per day. Since then, there has been a noticeable decline; however, Iran still manages to launch several dozen missiles daily into Israeli territory, indiscriminately striking civilian population centers. The downward trend in launches is the result of a concentrated offensive effort by the Israeli Air Force targeting the missile launch arrays deployed across Iran. Most of the missiles were successfully intercepted by Israeli air defense systems, but several direct hits and falling debris from intercepted missiles caused significant damage to buildings in major cities, resulting in hundreds of injuries and 24 fatalities.
