IDF Airstrike on Radwan Unit Training Camps – 15 July 2025

On July 15, the Israeli Air Force struck several targets belonging to the Radwan Unit in the Beqaa region of Lebanon. The targets included military training compounds of the Radwan Unit and weapons depots located in Hezbollah’s operational-logistical rear area. The strike also eliminated six Radwan operatives. As we reported in our article from July 7, the Radwan Unit has been attempting to recover and resume activity in southern Lebanon. Since March 2025, approximately 30% of the eliminations of Hezbollah operatives south of the Litani River (out of a total of 52 eliminations) were members of the Radwan Unit. The activity in the training compounds attacked in the Beqaa is part of the force-building and rehabilitation efforts of the Radwan Unit, which is currently focused on building readiness for targeted terrorist operations against IDF presence in southern Lebanon or within Israeli territory. The IDF’s activity is aimed at preventing the rehabilitation of the Radwan Unit in general, and the renewal of its presence and operations in southern Lebanon in particular. Continued deployment of IDF forces along the border with Lebanon is essential in light of the potential threat posed by the Radwan Unit.
