IDF Airstrikes on Hezbollah Threats in Lebanon Distributed by Region

Following the IDF’s publication on July 29 regarding the number of airstrikes carried out in response to Hezbollah violations since the ceasefire agreement, below is an analysis of the regional distribution of the strikes: 47.5% of the strikes were carried out south of the Litani River, 36.9% north of the Litani, 13.5% in the Beqaa Valley, and 2.1% in Beirut. According to the IDF report, the strikes destroyed 90 launchers, 40 weapon depots, 40 terror infrastructures, 20 command centers, 5 weapon production sites, 3 Radwan training camps, and thousands of rockets.

Since the ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024, a total of 1,263 Hezbollah violations have been reported to the ceasefire enforcement mechanism — 71 percent of them in southern Lebanon (according to the distribution, most of the strikes indeed took place in southern Lebanon, both south and north of the Litani). The Lebanese Army addressed 453 of these violations. Of the remaining 810 violations, most were handled and struck by Israel. A small portion remained unaddressed. It is important to note that these figures refer only to known violations. It can be assumed that there are many additional violations that remain undetected.

The question arises: Is the above enforcement approaching or meeting the necessary threshold to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding itself? The enforcement disrupts the rebuilding process but does not prevent it.
