IDF Strikes in Lebanon – Weekly Summary

During the week of 16–23 February, nine airstrikes were carried out in Lebanese territory. Four strikes were conducted in the Beqaa region, five in south Lebanon- three south of the Litani River, and two north of it. Nine Hezbollah operatives were eliminated, one of whom is assessed to have served as a unit commander within the organization’s missile and rocket array. In addition, two Hamas operatives were eliminated in a maritime strike targeting a Hamas headquarters in Ain al-Hilweh. As part of the broader operational activity, terrorist infrastructure was also targeted in several areas, including weapons depots, missile launchers, and Hezbollah military sites. In addition to the aerial campaign, four targeted ground operations were conducted during the week along the line of contact. These operations included strikes on Hezbollah targets and engineering infrastructure, as part of an ongoing effort to prevent the organization’s reconstitution and renewed entrenchment in areas adjacent to the border.
