IDF Strikes on Threats in Lebanon: 22 – 28 December, 2025

Over the past week (22–28 December), the IDF carried out 13 airstrikes and four ground strikes across Lebanon.

As part of these strikes, four Hezbollah operatives were eliminated, including an operative from Hezbollah’s air defense array and a Hezbollah operative who simultaneously served in the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF). The Lebanese Army is heavily infiltrated by Hezbollah collaborators across various units, who assist the organization directly or indirectly in its military activity and broader interests.

In addition, a senior operative from Unit 840 of the Quds Force was eliminated. He had been operating in the Syrian and Lebanese arenas under Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps—further evidence of Iran’s intensive involvement in Hezbollah’s activities in the region. The airstrikes focused on a range of Hezbollah targets, including a training and preparation complex of the Radwan Unit, weapons storage facilities, military structures, and terrorist infrastructure. The Radwan Unit remains a high-priority amid Hezbollah’s efforts to restore its offensive capabilities.

The ground strikes were concentrated on villages along the line of contact, as part of the IDF’s efforts to prevent Hezbollah from renewing and reestablishing its presence.

Most of the strikes this week were carried out in areas north of the Litani River. However, the elimination of a Hezbollah operative in Safad al-Battikh indicates Hezbollah’s continued presence in southern Lebanon. Since the beginning of December 2025, 11 Hezbollah operatives have been eliminated, eight of them south of the Litani River.

  1. My thanks to the IDF and IAF for the continuing execution of Justice. This is comparable to surgically removing cancerous tumors a few at a time to minimize the risk to the patient. Lebanon is still weak, but as hezbollah tumors are removed, more strength will be restored. When hezbollah is totally removed Lebanon will fully recover.
