Three types of targets can be identified to have been prioritized in the first 48 hours of major combat operations along the southern coast of Iran. In order of magnitude: 1. Iranian Naval ships docked in the major port of Bandar Abbas and the minor port in Chabahar. It is reported that 9 Iranian vessels have been sunk as of early 02 March 2026. 2. Radar installations in Bandar Abbas, Kish Island, and Zahedan Airbase. Known radar installations in Jask, east of Chabahar, and elsewhere along the coast have yet to be neutralized. 3. Air Bases in Bushehr and Konarak. These sites are known to contain air defense missiles, weapons depots, UAVs, and conventional fixed-wing fighter aircraft. The Chamran ballistic missile base next to the city of Jam was also struck, according to local reports and eyewitness footage. The majority of the base is underground for its silos’ launch capability, and therefore support buildings outside were most likely targeted. Eye witness footage in Shiraz also showed American UAVs operating overhead, conducting strikes
