During the past week, the IDF conducted 328 waves of airstrikes in Lebanon — a significant increase compared to the previous week (12–19 May), during which 187 waves of airstrikes were carried out. This figure reflects a notable acceleration in the IDF’s aerial operational tempo and an expansion in the scope of strikes across Lebanon.
In addition, the average daily rate during the past week stood at 47 waves of airstrikes per day.
During the week (early morning of 22 May), an unusual airstrike was carried out against two militants who approached approximately 400 meters from the border fence near the Israeli communities of Dovev and Bar’am. Both militants were eliminated. At this stage, it remains unclear whether they were Hezbollah operatives (Radwan Force or others) or Palestinian militants operating independently or as Hezbollah proxies.
Most of the strikes this week — 317 waves of strikes — were conducted in southern Lebanon, both south and north of the Litani River:
•196 waves of strikes south of the Litani
•121 waves of strikes north of the Litani
In addition, 11 waves of strikes were carried out in the Beqaa region, including one strike in northern Beqaa, where an underground site used for weapons production was targeted. All other strikes in the region were conducted in the southwestern Beqaa area.
This week as well, the trend of concentrating most operational activity beyond the Yellow Line continued. Out of all strikes conducted, 307 waves of strikes took place outside the Yellow Line, while only 21 strikes were carried out within its boundaries.
Overall, since the beginning of the “ceasefire” on 17 April 2026, the IDF has conducted 862 airstrikes across Lebanon:
•519 strikes south of the Litani River
•312 strikes north of the Litani River
•27 strikes in the Beqaa region
•3 strikes in Mount Lebanon (not reflected in the graphics)
•1 strike in Dahieh, Beirut, in which a Radwan Force commander was eliminated
Regarding the distribution of strikes relative to the Yellow Line:
•784 strikes were carried out outside the Yellow Line
•78 strikes were conducted within the boundaries of the Yellow Line
Note: The data presented in the graphs refers solely to IDF airstrikes and does not include ground operations, artillery fire, or additional military assets employed during the examined period.
