Israel claimed responsibility for the killing of Hadi Ali Mustafa today (March 13) in south Lebanon, confirming he was part of Hamas’s construction bureau and directed terrorist activity against Israeli targets. We should mention that Israel has already killed a few Hamas leaders in Lebanon. In November 2023, Khalil Kharaz was killed in south Lebanon, and in January, Saleh Al-Arouri and Samir Fendi were killed in Beirut. Arouri was in charge of the terrorist activity in Judea and Samaria, while Fendi was a senior in the Hamas construction bureau. Kharaz was also described as being involved in planning and directing terror activity against Israeli and Jewish targets in Judea and Samaria, as well as globally. Hamas’ construction bureau oversees the strengthening of the military branch and directs terrorist activities against Israeli and Jewish targets. From these assassinations, it appears that Israel is targeting Hamas’ ability to direct and encourage terror activities in Lebanon. This is especially important due to the fear of a flare-up of violence during Ramadan.
