On March 19, 19 Iranian attack waves against Israel were identified, carried out using ballistic missiles. This represents an exceptional day in terms of attack volume, with a significantly higher number of attack waves compared to the daily average recorded in recent weeks. Geographically, the attacks were distributed across several regions: 6 attack waves (31.6%) targeted the Tel Aviv area, 6 attack waves (31.6%) the north, 5 attack waves (26.3%) the Jerusalem area, and 2 attack waves (10.5%) the southern region. Since the beginning of the campaign, a total of 300 Iranian attack waves against Israel have been identified. In the cumulative geographic distribution, the central region—particularly the Tel Aviv metropolitan area—remains the primary target, with 117 attack waves (39%). This is followed by the southern region with 70 attack waves (23.3%), the northern region with 67 waves (22.3%), and the Jerusalem area with 46 attack waves (15.3%). In one of the attacks targeting the Tel Aviv area, a foreign worker was killed as a result of a strike in one of the communities in central Israel, further highlighting the direct impact on the civilian population. An examination of the daily trend indicates that after a period of relative stability, with an average of approximately 10 attack waves per day, there has been a sharp increase in the scope of activity, reflecting a deviation from the established pattern and an intensification of pressure on the Israeli home front. Impact on the civilian domain in Israel: Since the beginning of the war, 18 civilians have been killed in Israel, and over 4,002 individuals have been injured to varying degrees as a result of direct impacts, interceptor debris, and secondary damage. In addition, extensive damage has been caused to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, and the ongoing attacks continue to disrupt daily life. The data indicate that Iran continues to combine a focus on central Israel with a broad geographic dispersion of attacks, aiming to expand the threat envelope and maintain sustained pressure across all parts of the country. At the same time, the spike in attack volume on this day may indicate an effort to increase pressure within the framework of a broader strategy of attrition. The next report will be published on Sunday, March 22, and will include a weekend summary (March 20–21).
