Daily Report – Main Occurrences (June 15)

The Israeli Front
On the third day of the war with Iran, around 80 missiles (and dozens of UAVs) were launched overnight by the Iranians in two separate barrages. Each barrage included approximately 40 missiles. The first targeted the Haifa and Galilee region, and the second targeted the Tel Aviv and central Israel. So far, 11 Israeli citizens were killed including 3 children, along with hundreds of wounded. Rescue efforts to extract people trapped in the affected areas are still ongoing. Another barrage occurred in the afternoon hours with no casualties.

Strikes in Iran

Israel has expanded its strikes against strategic military bases and nuclear facilities across various regions in Iran. In Tehran, 80 targets were struck overnight. Additional attacks were carried out in Isfahan against nuclear facilities. In Shiraz, in southwestern Iran, Iranian military industries involved in weapons production were targeted. In Kermanshah, a new wave of strikes hit ballistic missile sites that had already been targeted earlier in the operation, aiming to refine the results. In Khorramabad, western Iran, the IDF struck an underground site containing surface-to-surface and cruise missiles. This is a subterranean Revolutionary Guards base with at least eight tunnels and launch shafts carved into the mountain.

Earlier today, Israel also struck IRGC targets in Tehran. Reports indicate hits on the Ministry of Defense, the Iranian Nuclear Agency headquarters, the Intelligence Directorate, and a police building.

Additionally, the main fuel reservoir refinery in Tehran was bombed. The targeted oil and gas facilities are used for military purposes and support the nuclear program.

Reports indicate that Malek Ashtar University of Technology was also targeted. The university is affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces

According to a report by Doron Kadosh, the military correspondent for Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), intelligence gathered in recent months indicated that Iran was leading a covert operation to develop one of the critical components of a nuclear bomb. This refers to a component that Iran has not officially declared to be under development—because its existence would clearly indicate an intent to build a nuclear weapon.

Iran recruited some of its top scientists for the secret program. These scientific working groups began operating about a year and a half ago—at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024, meaning: after October 7. The conclusion reached by Israeli intelligence: Iran made the decision to move forward toward nuclear weapon components following Hamas’s attack in southern Israel

The scientists reached the testing phase and began conducting successful experiments on the components they were responsible for. Reaching the testing stage is critical, and the fact that the tests were reportedly successful would bring Iran significantly closer to the point where it is just one decision away from having the capability to assemble a bomb. This was the intelligence that led Israel to the decision to launch a preemptive strike.

This morning, the IDF Spokesperson issued an evacuation warning to anyone located in Iran’s weapons and munitions production facilities, as well as the industries that support them. While Iran chooses to attack without warning and without distinction, Israel chooses to warn civilians—even at the cost of forfeiting the element of surprise . We are warning them in Persian, across multiple channels, because human life comes first for us. That is the difference between us and our enemies.

Yemen
Alongside the strikes in Iran, Israel also carried out an attack in Yemen targeting a gathering of senior Houthi leadership. The intended target was the Houthis Chief of Staff, Mohammed Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari. It is believed that he was injured, but as of now, there is no confirmation of his elimination.

Iraq

According to the AP news agency, at least three UAVs were launched toward the Ain al-Asad base, which houses U.S. forces in western Iraq, and were intercepted. So far, none of the pro-Iranian militias in Iraq have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Lebanon
Israel continues to operate in all fronts to thwart threats. Yesterday, a strike was carried out in the Beit Lif area. Hezbollah is currently not engaging or joining the conflict, despite such expectations in Iran.

Syria
In southern Syria, in the Quneitra region, an Iranian UAV (“Arash”) was shot down by Israel. Additionally, an Iranian UAV crashed into a building in Tartus province, causing several injuries.

Eliminations

Iran has confirmed that Ali Shamkhani, senior advisor to Supreme Leader Khamenei and the official responsible for the nuclear program, died from his wounds after being injured in the June 13 strike. It was also confirmed that on the first day of the war, Gholam-Reza Marhabadi, head of the Intelligence Directorate at the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, was eliminated. He was responsible for the regime’s intelligence assessments and was considered the highest-ranking intelligence officer in Iran.Mohammad Bagheri, commander of the IRGC Air Force’s surface-to-surface missile division, was also eliminated. Bagheri oversaw most of Iran’s surface-to-surface and long-range cruise missile capabilities, which pose a central threat to the State of Israel.
