Ceasefire Violations
Violations of the ceasefire by Hezbollah and Lebanese residents persist. Over the past 24 hours, dozens of such violations were reported, prompting the IDF to respond with deterrent fire in the villages of Beit Lif, Shebaa, Deir Siryan, Yaroun, Mahibib, Rashaya al-Fakhar, Al-Khiyam, Bint Jbeil, Majdal Zoun, and Maroun al-Ras.
Hezbollah’s Reconstruction Efforts in the Bekaa Valley
Hezbollah is actively working to rehabilitate homes damaged during the war in the Bekaa Valley.
According to an official statement from Hezbollah’s leadership in the Bekaa region, several reconstruction efforts have been completed thus far. These include surveys and repairs of damaged homes, with restored homes returned to their owners. As part of this effort, 114 teams of engineers and field coordinators have been deployed, focusing on different areas according to their geographic distribution. After the survey process is completed, financial compensation of $12,000 per damaged home will be provided directly via branches of Al-Qard Al-Hassan Bank. This announcement also suggests that the bank has resumed operations after the IDF targeted its branches and infrastructure in the past month.
Elimination of Hezbollah official in Syria
Yesterday (December 3), in a vehicle strike in the Aqraba area near Damascus, on the road leading to the international airport, Salman Nemer Jamaa, responsible for Hezbollah’s envoy to the Syrian army, was eliminated. Jamaa held a series of senior positions within Hezbollah. In his last role, Jamaa served as a liaison between Hezbollah and the Syrian army and was a key figure in the transfer of Hezbollah’s weapons from Syria to Lebanon. Lebanese Army
According to reports from Lebanon, the Lebanese Army has returned to its bases in the Shebaa region in southern Lebanon for the first time since withdrawing in October 2024.
It was also reported that the Lebanese Army has appointed Brigadier General Adhgar Lawendis, equivalent in rank to Major General, as Lebanon’s representative in the ceasefire implementation oversight committee with Israel. This committee is expected to convene for the first time in the coming days at the UNIFIL base in Naqoura, southern Lebanon.
Pro-Iranian Militias Attack Israel
On December 3, the Houthis claimed responsibility for three attacks, coordinated with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, targeting three locations in Israel using UAVs. On December 2, the IDF intercepted a UAV over the Red Sea region. Beyond this, no additional indications of the attacks were noted.
