Lebanese Army Displays Seized Rockets Amidst Uncertainty Over Ownership

As part of the Lebanese Army’s deployment in southern Lebanon, several 122 mm rockets, both long- and short-range, were presented to American and French representatives. According to the Lebanese Army, these rockets were seized in the Naqoura area on January 7, following the withdrawal of IDF forces.

It is unclear whether these rockets belong to #Hezbollah. A statement from U.S. Central Command referred to “unauthorized armed groups.” It is possible that the rockets were previously confiscated by the Lebanese Army from Palestinian terrorist organizations rather than Hezbollah. It is uncertain whether this is an authentic incident, or a demonstration aimed at proving that the Lebanese Army is ostensibly fulfilling its role in enforcing the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
