1. In the past 24 hours, #Hezbollah claimed responsibility for ten attacks against #Israel using high-trajectory fire (including Grad rockets), and anti-tank missiles.
2. In addition, there were two events of UAV infiltration into Israeli territory in Western Galilee and the city of Nahariya, for which no responsibility was claimed. 3. Yesterday (June 3), Hezbollah launched dozens of Grad rockets toward the city of Katzrin, causing fires around the city. Hezbollah claimed the attack aimed at a military base and was in response to the IDF attack in the Beqaa a day earlier. 4. Yesterday, Hezbollah launched dozens of Grad rockets toward the city of Kiryat Shmona, hitting inside an industrial area in the city, injured two civilians, and causing severe damage.
5. Also yesterday, Hezbollah carried out two attacks on the community of Metula using high-trajectory fire. Attached is a photo of one of the attacks, taken from social media (credit: unknown).
6. The Islamic Resistance in #Iraq claimed responsibility for launching a UAV toward a vital target in Haifa. There are no further indications of the attack.
7. In the past 24 hours, #IDF struck several Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon including weapon warehouses, compounds, and infrastructure around Meiss El Jabal, Houla, Ayta ash Shab, Tayr Harfa, Naqoura, Maroun El Ras, and Khiam. In addition, IDF soldiers shot artillery fire to remove a threat around Rachaya Al Foukhar.
8. A short while ago, there were reports in #Lebanon about IDF attacks in the Maison area of the Beqaa.

Color blind people detection capabilities in War
World War II Both Germany and US Army used color blind people to spot camouflage colors that fooled those with normal color vision. Color blind persons were particularly effective in spotting Japanese hidden positions in the Pacific.
Biologists at Cambridge University and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in England find that color-blind men are extraordinary connoisseurs of khaki.
Red-green color blindness is caused by an unusual form of a light receptor in the eye, which is sensitive to a different range of colors than normal. This variant type of receptor makes it harder to distinguish among red, orange, yellow, and green. The resulting shift in color perception bestows extra sensitivity to other hues, however, as the researchers demonstrated by asking subjects to rate the similarity of 15 circles painted in tones of khaki. People with regular vision struggled with the test, while color-blind men aced it. The findings lend credence to the theory that people with red-green color blindness make good hunters or soldiers because they are not easily fooled by camouflage. The researchers hypothesize that the variant form of receptor could be an evolutionary relic from the time when early humans needed to spot predators or food hidden in branches and leaves”
The other reason is that normal color-vision capable persons are used to evaluating a distinction in objects by a color differentiation. Which works fine in routine life, but in the military, you are hiding green things amongst a green background. Monochromatic (totally color-blind) folks in particular instead look for edges and contrast, which is much harder to conceal.
