Weekly Report (12–19 May): IDF Airstrikes in Lebanon

During the past week, the Israeli Air Force carried out 187 airstrikes in Lebanon, compared to 174 strikes the previous week — a moderate increase indicating the continuation of a high and steady operational tempo since the beginning of the ceasefire. Throughout the week, the IDF continued to issue evacuation warnings and alerts to civilians almost daily prior to conducting strikes in populated areas. On a weekly basis, 110 strikes were conducted south of the Litani River, 65 strikes north of the Litani, 9 strikes in the Beqaa Valley, and 3 additional strikes in Mount Lebanon, which included targeted killings carried out using vehicle strikes. Most of the strikes were conducted in southern Lebanon, both south and north of the Litani River. Out of all airstrikes conducted this week, 9 were carried out within the Yellow Line, while 178 were conducted beyond it. The strikes targeted weapons depots, command centers, observation posts, gathering points, military-use structures, missile and rocket launchers, additional terrorist infrastructure, and dozens of terrorists who were eliminated during the operations. In one of the strikes in the Beqaa region, the IDF eliminated Wael Mahmoud Abd al-Halim, who served as the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Beqaa area of Lebanon. In total, since the beginning of the “ceasefire,” the IDF has carried out 534 airstrikes in Lebanon: •323 strikes south of the Litani River •191 strikes north of the Litani River •15 strikes in the Beqaa region •1 strike in Beirut (the elimination of a Radwan Force commander) Additionally, 477 strikes were conducted beyond the Yellow Line, compared to 57 strikes carried out within the Yellow Line. Note: The data presented in the graphs refers solely to IDF airstrikes and does not include ground operations, artillery fire, or other military assets employed during the examined period.
